Residential Neighborhood
Setting & Phases
The Village sits on 132 acres in a beautiful, tranquil setting in southwest Indiana. Rolling hills, woods and landscaped areas create an appealing outdoor environment beautiful in all seasons. Our residents and their guests enjoy pleasant, quiet surroundings near the city of Evansville and close to a regional airport and major interstates.
With beautifully landscaped areas and a handicapped accessible nature trail, our property site has earned acclaim. In 2005 and 2007, Jacob’s Village won awards among nonprofit facilities in Evansville’s annual citywide landscape-judging contest. The Village’s intention is to provide an attractive, inviting neighborhood community for the people who live here. Obviously, our efforts toward achieving that objective are well underway!
Jacob’s Village is being established in phases. Phase I opened for occupancy in 2004 when we welcomed our first 6 residents. This phase currently includes 5 accessible ranch homes, a shared recreational courtyard and many site amenities, like our meditation garden, that residents and visitors alike enjoy. Phase II, opened in 2013, offers 12 attractive, ground level, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. These apartments share the same architectural motifs as, and are a nice complement to, our Phase I homes. With this expansion, Jacob’s Village is able to more than double the number of people we can serve. A multipurpose community center that will be the centerpiece of the Jacob’s Village neighborhood and house a variety of programs, services and amenities for our residents.

Community Center
Central to the vision for Jacob Village’s expanded community is an Multi-purpose Community Center which would house a variety of programs, services and amenities for residents. Our vision became reality in Nov. 2016, as the construction of our new Community Center was completed. The Center is bustling with activities such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, bingo and karaoke nights, classes on financial literacy, running an energy efficient home and many more, all available to on-site residents. The multi-purpose Community Center is the centerpiece of our neighborhood and includes the following features: a reception/commons area, large conference room with reception area, exercise room, activity center, a covered outdoor patio area and more. Jacob’s Village Community Center is available for rent to host corporate meetings, bridal showers, parties and more.
Later Phases
Jacob’s Village recently updated its Master Plan to include additional housing options, a Village Center, Chapel, and other amenities that will enabled adults with disabilities and seniors to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. These developments will be phased in over time in response to the needs of the surrounding community.
