Jacob’s Village Offering New Affordable Housing for Low Income Seniors

A ceremony to dedicate some recent additions in a Vanderburgh County apartment complex. Jacob’s Village expanded it’s neighborhood, offering new affordable housing options.

12 apartments will be available to lower income seniors and people with disabilities. The apartments are designed for accessibility and low maintenance.

Funding from Vectren ensured the apartments were designed for maximum energy efficiency.

“Even the people here who are seniors why may themselves still be able to drive and be out and about,” said Jacob’s Village President and CEO Sheryl Kuchna, “find that having a place where their needs are understood, where neighbors know neighbors, where they really can be looked after is really a wonderful benefit.”

Built in 2004, Jacob’s Village is a community where people with disabilities and older adults can find housing that is affordable and accessible.
