Jacob’s Village Dedicates 12 New Apartments

12 new apartments were dedicated at Jacob’s Village in Vanderburgh County on Friday.
All of the duplex style apartments are designed for senior citizens and the disabled. The apartments feature hand rails, wider hallways and doorways, and were built without steps.
Jacob’s village President Cheryl Kuchna says these apartments are one more way to fulfill their mission.
“We have, from the beginning, wanted to offer people with special needs and now lower income seniors a real community where their needs are understood, they can be part of a community where they are known and appreciated, and have opportunities that you and I take for granted,” Kuchna says.
Officials say half of the new units are already occupied.
