Jacob’s Village partners with APEX to provide residential services to disabled residents

EVANSVILLE, INDIANA: As of August 1, 2016, APEX Behavioral Services is the new provider of residential services at Jacob’s Village. APEX will be actively promoting the Jacob’s Village mission of “developing a safe, walkable neighborhood community where people with disabilities and older adults can find meaningful relationships, housing that is affordable and accessible, and activities that encourage active minds and bodies.”

Currently, the community of Jacob’s Village has 4 homes, each housing 4 residents.  A fifth home is the final stages of construction.  Additionally, Jacob’s Village offers several apartment homes.  APEX team members provide 24-hour support for all members of the Jacob’s Village community requiring this level of care.  Apex caregivers ensure the health, safety and welfare of the residents, as well as assist in the development of skills that enhance independent living.   “We’re excited to have APEX Behavioral Services as the new provider of residential services,” said Executive Director Kathy Knapp. “APEX brings wonderful experience and dedicated caregivers to our organization, along with a real passion for serving special needs populations. We look forward to building the partnership with APEX as our community continues to grow.”

Established in 2004, the mission of Jacob’s Village is to develop a safe, walkable, neighborhood community where people with disabilities and older adults can find meaningful relationships, housing that is affordable and accessible, and activities that encourage active minds and bodies.
