Dear Friends,

Things are continuing to look up as the pandemic restrictions are beginning to ease! And with the delights of Christmas fast approaching, we look forward to a return to our normal activities! The light of the Christmas star reminds us that there are indeed brighter days ahead.

Having said that, I find myself reflecting on what Covid has taught us. If nothing else, it has reminded us of the value of simple human connection. Linking up via a Zoom call, or smiling through a window, cannot replace a welcoming handshake, a warm hug, or sitting together “in person” to share stories over a cup of coffee.

Connections like these are even more vital for our residents, whose unique needs require specialized care. While some of our residents are able to go to their jobs, many face functional disabilities that prevent them from working. And for those whose relatives have passed on, or who are not in the area, Jacob’s Village is their family. We are their exercise pals, their church friends, their social circle, their emotional, as well as physical support. Jacob’s Village is the place they call home.

At this joyous and loving time of year, can we count on you to help us continue providing a safe and caring home for them? Any gift you can give, regardless of size, will make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

We appreciate your on-going generosity and strive always to be good stewards of your donations.

Gifts made in honor of special friends and family members will be acknowledged. (Please provide a mailing address so this acknowledgement may be sent to the proper person.)

As 2021 comes to a close, we wish you a joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year, with many thanks for your support and kindness!

On behalf of those we serve,

Michele Current
Executive Director
